about ollie

At Ollie, we believe internships shouldn’t just fill time, they should change lives.

Too many internships feel impersonal. Ollie changes that — keeping things small, personal, and tailored to your goals. In Cape Town, you’re part of a community.

The Difference

Travis is the energy behind Ollie Cape Town’s internships and programs. When he’s not organizing placements, you’ll find him coaching the First Team at Camps Bay Football Club, captaining one of Cape Town’s most popular run clubs, or challenging himself over a game of chess. A sports lover and outdoor enthusiast, he makes sure every student’s experience in Cape Town is well-structured, engaging, and genuinely supported from day one.

Minister of Vibes

Emma is Ollie Cape Town’s go-to for fun, memorable experiences. Originally from Botswana, she knows how to make students feel at home, curating events, activities, and hangouts that match their interests. With a Bachelor of Education and years spent working as an au pair across Europe, she naturally connects with students and offers a big-sister kind of guidance — whether it’s exploring Cape Town or just helping everyone figure out what’s next.

HR

Jordan brings Ollie Cape Town to life online. He’s always creating — from weekly friend-group vlogs and daily life content to his own Instagram game show — and has even co-founded an underwear brand as part of his Master’s in Entrepreneurship. Passionate about challenges, he’s run multiple half-marathons, plays five-a-side (and quickly became the star player), and dreams of tackling a triathlon next. Fun, creative, and always up for documenting life, Jordan keeps things fresh while making the brand look as good as it feels.

Iza Bessems

Founder

Matcha Master

Iza, former student in the Netherlands turned founder of 3 different companies, packed up her life and moved to South Africa after falling in love with what it has to offer. When she’s not at Ollie Cape Town, you might find her off on a hike or camping for three or four days with no signal, or starting her day with a matcha or a cold dip at 5 a.m. At Ollie, she’s the guiding force behind everything that happens, making sure the program runs smoothly and that students have the best possible experience, even if they don’t see her every day.
